Ocean Exploration brings together a group of paintings created during a transatlantic crossing aboard the yacht Evrima. I was invited by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to lead painting workshops for guests throughout the journey, offering creative experiences while we crossed the Atlantic Ocean. Teaching by day and painting alongside participants allowed the work to grow naturally out of the voyage itself—shaped by shifting light, changing landscapes, and the unique rhythm of life at sea.
Rather than documenting specific destinations, these paintings hold impressions gathered along the way: sunsets dissolving into open water, walks through island streets, shared laughter in the studio, and long stretches where the horizon offered nothing but blue. Color became my way of collecting moments as they unfolded. Together, the works reflect both a physical passage across the ocean and a quieter, inward journey shaped by curiosity, connection, and the experience of making art while continuously in motion.
