This collaged work is especially close to me, perhaps because it was made so directly from the materials of the journey itself. Using torn Moët Chandon labels and gold foil from the yacht, I shaped stylized tulip stems that feel celebratory but also grounded in memory. Champagne was very much part of the atmosphere onboard, and incorporating those fragments felt like a natural way to let the surroundings speak within the work.
The result is a piece that carries the lightness and joy of that crossing. It reminds me of long days at sea, shared experiences, and the quiet rhythm of life onboard Evrima. Whenever I look at it, I’m taken right back to that gentle passage across the ocean.
