This small painting grew out of a memory of warm destinations where pastel homes sit among overgrown greens. I worked in thick layers to create a sense of lushness, almost like standing close to a flowering hedge. To me, the scene feels both grounding and light—an ordinary moment that carries the ease of vacation days.
