In this piece, I lingered on the idea of a quiet place tucked just beyond the everyday—a little pink house surrounded by soft, leafy shapes. The repeated marks remind me of pathways and fences I’ve seen on my travels, the kinds that gently guide you along without ever getting in the way. When I painted it, I kept thinking about how it feels to arrive somewhere familiar, yet still touched by the magic of being away.
