Life isn’t always orderly, and that’s often where the best moments happen.
In EverybodyLovesaParty! I’ve stepped into new territory, combining abstraction with recognizable objects to create a playful slice of everyday life. Tulip and Iris sit proudly in their party hats while an abundant table overflows with fruit, flowers, fish, wine and all the small details that tell a story. Around them, perspective shifts and bends, allowing different moments to exist at once. A rubber ball sends a coffee mug tipping over, flowers bloom beside an abstract painting, and nothing feels quite as expected.
Although this painting is filled with familiar objects, it isn’t really about dinner or celebration. It’s about joy, curiosity, companionship, and finding delight in ordinary moments that become unforgettable simply because we notice them.
