Deep Sleep Undone

In a world many layers deep, I float through the scenery on the wings of time, cruising by familiar faces and places, and moving smoothly across planes of awareness. There is a noise. It’s not part of the sequence. It wakes me, and I take in bright, early light that is my sudden reality.
