Jolie-Laide Wine Labels

Featured label artist for Sonoma County winery (2020–2021)

Every year, Jolie-Laide Wines in Sonoma County selects one artist to feature across all of their wine labels. In 2020–2021, that artist was me. Known for their small-batch, naturally fermented wines made with lesser-known French grape varietals, Jolie-Laide opted for an unusual approach: they left the front labels wordless and let my art speak for itself. All identifying text was moved to the back of the bottle, printed in a funky, psychedelic typeface that added to the timeless, handcrafted feel of the vintage.

It was a thoughtful pairing—art and winemaking both rooted in patience and intention. While those bottles have since sold out, it remains a collaboration that I look back on fondly.
