How better to share the love of making than by showing others they can do it too? DeSerres is a family-run art supply store chain in Quebec that dates back to 1908. It’s been a steady part of my artistic life for as long as I can remember—my mother used to take me there for her own art supplies when I was a child.

When their marketing team reached out and asked if I’d become a brand ambassador, the answer felt natural. I created regular “how to” content for them—YouTube videos, social media tutorials, blog posts, and other visual bits and pieces meant to inspire others to create. It was a full-circle moment: from browsing their aisles with family to now being part of how they reach the next wave of makers.
