I recently had the pleasure of spending a full day helping install my artwork at the Sarasota Modern Hotel, specifically around the Wink Wink Food and Drink and in the lobby near the elevators. While I often work quietly behind the scenes, creating each piece in my studio, seeing these artworks step out into the world and interact with a thoughtfully designed space is always such a treat.
This installation featured ten original artworks, all part of my MODERN collection, and each one brought its own energy to the hotel’s architecture and atmosphere. There’s something incredibly special about watching artwork move from a private, creative process into a shared, lived-in environment—where guests encounter it unexpectedly, perhaps pausing for a moment longer as they pass by.
The Installation Experience
The day itself felt like a very fun “studio day,” just outside the studio walls. From carefully unwrapping each piece, to testing placements and adjusting heights, the process was collaborative and intentional. The Sarasota Modern’s clean lines, natural light, and contemporary design made it an ideal setting for the MODERN collection to live and breathe.
Throughout the day, I documented the process with photos and videos—moments of transition that often go unseen but play a huge role in how the final presentation comes together.

Helping install these original artworks was a reminder of why I create in the first place. Art isn’t meant to stay hidden—it’s meant to be experienced, lived with, and discovered in unexpected moments.
