In a Thousand Different Ways

Book cover artwork for German editions of bestselling novels

It’s been a real privilege to see my artwork grace the covers of several of Cecelia Ahern’s novels in Germany. Cecelia is a gifted storyteller whose books—likeP.S. I Love You,Where Rainbows End, andIf You Could See Me Now—have touched millions of readers around the world with their emotional honesty and warmth.

The collaboration began when Piper Books, her German publisher, approached me to license one of my paintings for a cover design. That first project led to more: a series of book covers, each one carefully matched to the tone and spirit of her stories. At one point, they even created a special edition boxed set forAlle Farben meines Lebens (the German version ofAll the Colors of My Life), where the book and the box shared the same artwork—tying everything together in a cohesive, visual experience.

I’ve learned that cover art isn’t chosen lightly. It has to resonate with the story and meet the approval of both the publisher and the author. So it means a lot that my work continues to be chosen for this purpose. I’m proud to be a small part of how these beloved books are presented to the world. It’s one of those collaborations where the art doesn’t just decorate the surface—it becomes part of the reader’s first connection to the story.
